Hi! I’m Simone!

I am an independent web developer located in Downtown Toronto.

I love building websites  and single page applications using the latest technology and industry best practices!

My first exposure to web development was at an HTML/CSS workshop run by Canada Learning Code in June 2015. My job at the time required me to know some HTML/CSS so I registered for the workshop. I loved it so much and wanted to learn more. Later that summer I registered at Hacker You in the part-time web development program. Classes started in September 2015. It was life-changing…a spark was re-ignited in me. I learned quickly, worked hard, and never looked back.

My most recent accomplishment is graduating from Cohort Two of the Bridge program at rangle.io. I was one of 10 women admitted into this highly competitive program from a pool of over 150 applicants. Bridge is a code school that focuses on building intermediate-level development skills and raising the confidence levels of its students. Over the course of 11 weeks, I learned Modern JavaScript (ES2016+), functional programming principles, React, Redux, Git flow, Agile software development, advanced API integrations, and more.

I’ve taught dozens of people from all walks of life how to code. I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with others. I always hope that my enthusiasm and passion for coding is evident and contagious!
